My daughter lived in her bouncie chair until she was 6 months old! She ate in it, she slept in it, she hung out in it! She had such a bad acid reflux problem, I even let her sleep in it over night while I slept on the couch next to her.

During her colic months, it was the only thing that would soothe her crying and help her relax. I don’t know if it was the vibrations or the bounce, but it’s one item I and she couldn’t live without!

Two years later, my nephew is reliving the boucie chair phenomenon. He loves his bouncie and refuses to sleep anywhere else!

So it’s two for two!

Imagine my happiness, if I were to have a second child, when I discovered this bouncie chair by Bright Starts – “the only bouncer that truly bounces.

The boucies we had so far didn’t actually bounce, but this one features a unique technology that provides a smooth, consistent bounce that mimic’s mom’s natural bouncing motion.

Features and Benefits:

Automatic Bounce with 2 bounce speeds: low or moderate

Battery Savings – more than 2X the battery life of other bouncer seats

Removable Toy Bar – pivots back for easy access to baby

10 Melodies and Nature sounds to soothe baby

Removable head rest

Cushioned bolster system for ultimate comfort

Integrated, cushioned foot rest

Machine Washable seat pad, bolster system, and head rest

3 point Harness keeps baby secure

Non-slip feet

Need I say, music to my ears!!! aaahhhh…..can you hear the silence???

If you are looking for the perfect baby gift idea, this is IT! The new mom will be thanking you for months to come!

But choosing twins babies’ names is even more daunting.

A child’s name can be so significant in their identity, their personality, their popularity, etc.

With twins, it’s even more difficult. Do you name them similar names to celebrate the fact that they are twins or do you name them completely different names to underline their individuality? Well, the answers to these questions are completely subjective. But here is a list from the Social Security Administration on the Top Twins Baby Names for 2008. Now you can get a glimpse of what other people are doing.

I love that name but I don't think I have the balls to name my child that. I get so jealous of people who do and their child actually fills those shoes out! (Is that even an expression?)

What’s even more interesting is this table which shows the Top 5 Names Over the Last 100 Years.

Is it just me, or do you guys notice a pattern here?!?!?? What is it with people? Why do we all insist on naming our children the same name?

I don’t know about you guys, but every time I hear a unique name, I get so jealous! For example – Tiger!!! I love that name but I don’t think I have the balls to name my child that. I get so jealous of people who do and their child actually fills those shoes out! (Is that even an expression?)

But anyway, a name like Madonna, for example is one of a kind.

Which brings me to my next point – does the name you give your child determine the person they are destined to become? In other words, does a unique name = unique person?

If you name your child Jacob and he grows up with 100 other Jacobs in his school, does that lead him to want to blend in or stand out? If you grown up with a name like Tiger, I guess you face ridicule and you may become an outcast OR you might always know you are different and/or special and eventually OWN your name. Is that a risk you want to take with your child?

My brother grew up with a relatively foreign name and was harassed and ridiculed his entire junior high and high school years. He was named after my grandfather as he was the only grandson the man had and it was quite an honor. Children in school didn’t think so.

20 years later, my sister is having a baby boy and she refuses to name her child anything different because of our brother’s experience. (They are twins and witnessed each other’s misery quite often.)

I, on the other hand, believe your child should get a name that means something to the family. I named my daughter after part of my grandparents’ last name. Although I liked names such as Morgan, Madison, Meghan, Isabelle, etc., I stuck to my guns and gave my daughter a link to her heritage (as small as that may be). In some ways, I wanted her to have a guardian angel.

What is your experience? Did you name your child a name you liked or after someone you love?

Do you believe the name of a child in some way shapes the personality they grow into?

So here I am!! I AM HERE I AM HERE I AM HERE!!! SUCK SWALLOW BREATH has kicked in (the last NICU step!) and THIS IS THE FINAL MILESTONE other than the birth of course.

I can NOT believe it. I am getting more paranoid now of course about still birth, and cord stuff – so my doppler is out like every hour if I don’t feel the baby, I guess I feel like I am SOOO close right now, I just don’t want it to go bad now.

I Had a SHOWER THIS WEEKEND!! LOL I was actually suprised. My mom hosted an English Tea for me at a Tea House. It was fairly small (come on I am on like my 700th kid how could it be big!? LOL) I wasn’t registered but I amazingly got a lot of really nice things I could use and had very little to return. I wasn’t too emotional until I went to thank everyone for coming and for the gifts and soon as I said “I really appreciate this so much..this is really a big deal for me” I started to cry a little. Then of course everyone ELSE started to cry so you know that is the sign of a great party. A hysterical host and sobbing guests….Randy.

It was really special for me to waddle into my OWN shower so far along!

The nursery is done, the car seat is installed, the bags are packed, the bassinet is set up, the cradle is ready….all I need now is the baby! WHO BY THE WAY HAS A NAME FOR SURE!!!!

We will be doing Chase. I think it is a hot guy name plus I think it goes the best with Avery Max and Ty. I mean I know most women look for names that are strong, or Biblical or have deep family meaning. Me? I go for hot. And really, isn’t that what every unborn child is worried about?
