The theme of the room should be something that your child is interested in. For instance, if you have a little boy, popular room themes would include sports, space, cowboys, robots and such. Themes like fairies, princesses and Barbie are popular among girls. If you prefer a gender-neutral theme, you can go for animal safari or a nature theme. Although you probably want to go all out with your chosen theme, be sure that you decorate the room in such a way that your kids can change the design of the room once they get too old to be sleeping with their favorite cartoon characters. As for colors, it’s generally recommended to go for brighter hues since they can make the room brighter and more inviting.
