Just ran across this and I HAD to post a comment. Yeah, sometimes I just hold it for no apparent reason but never really thought seriously about it. When I'm home I'll sometimes hold my pee until the last minute and then make a mad dash to the bathroom, usually accompanied by a loud sigh of relief followed by a "thank you" for letting me make it to the toilet in time. Then there's the opposite extreme of being in situations, like stuck in traffic, when you just wished you had used a restroom at the last opportunity and are panicking that you're gonna wet yourself and doing everything allowable (depending on who's in the car) not to let that happen. Its funny, because we keep asking our kids if they have to use the toilet, and then we as adults are sometimes worse because we don't when we have to. After I send this I think I will break with tradition and take a tinkle!
